Spirion

BACKGROUND

Spirion is a fast-growing artificial intelligence company focused on delivering advanced analytics and automation solutions to enterprise clients. As their customer base expanded, internal operations began to strain under the weight of manual processes and disconnected systems. Finance was operating in one platform, sales tracking lived in spreadsheets, project management was fragmented, and reporting required excessive manual consolidation. Leadership lacked real-time visibility into revenue performance, resource allocation, and forecasting. Growth was happening, but operational infrastructure was not keeping pace. Spirion needed:

  • A unified ERP system to centralize operations

  • Streamlined accounting and financial reporting

  • Integrated CRM and sales pipeline visibility

  • Project tracking tied directly to revenue and billing

  • Scalable processes to support rapid expansion

Odoo Implementation

IMPACT

Within months of going live, Spirion experienced a significant shift in operational clarity and efficiency. By consolidating CRM, accounting, and project management into a single Odoo environment, leadership gained real-time visibility into sales performance, project profitability, and cash flow. Decisions that previously relied on manually compiled reports could now be made using live dashboards, dramatically improving forecasting accuracy and strategic planning.

The integration between projects, timesheets, and invoicing reduced revenue leakage and strengthened financial controls. Month-end close cycles became faster and more reliable, freeing the finance team to focus on analysis instead of reconciliation. With standardized workflows and automation in place, Spirion built a scalable operational foundation capable of supporting continued growth without increasing administrative overhead. The result was not just a system upgrade, but a measurable improvement in how the business operated day to day.

US Air Force

Emblem of the U.S. Air Force featuring stylized wings and star.
BACKGROUND

The U.S. Air Force wanted to take its Domain Awareness System to the next level — to go beyond static data and move toward real-time, multi-source intelligence. The vision was ambitious: from a diverse set of data sources — like air traffic feeds — the system would be able to:

  • Track and monitor specific flights in real time
  • Generate mission-specific custom reports
  • Trigger smart, configurable alerts based on dynamic filters and thresholds
  • Visualize and analyze hundreds of thousands of flights at once

On top of that, the platform needed to overlay weather data, custom KML layers, and entities from the Air Force’s ontology, creating a unified operational picture across the air domain.

IMPACT

At Brilliant Minds, we took that vision and made it real. We re-engineered how terabytes of flight data were ingested, processed, and visualized, enabling the system to handle massive, complex datasets with speed, consistency, and resilience — even when the data itself wasn’t perfect.

And we didn’t stop there. Building on that foundation, we expanded the same architecture to maritime navigation, evolving the platform from an aviation-focused solution into a multi-domain awareness system capable of connecting the skies and the seas through intelligent data.

BACKGROUND

The Deepwater Horizon oil spill was an industrial disaster that began on April 20, 2010, in the Gulf of Mexico on the BP-operated Macondo Prospect considered to be the largest marine oil spill in the history of the petroleum industry.

Numerous beaches were closed causing a chain reaction of events that greatly impacted the Tourism Industry in the State of Texas.

After several court battles, BP settled roughly 100,000 claims filed by individuals and businesses affected by the spill. The Texas GLO looked to design a platform that would service these claims and register the delivery of funds.

IMPACT

We suggested to The Texas GLO the platform should be built on a Java platform, React Front-End and a Marionette Middleware to connect several applications. Development lasted for a year and the sub-sequential updates for six months.

The GLO estimated that 25,000 claims were fulfilled through the platform delivering more than $250 million dollars to impacted businesses.

Department of Health Care Services

BACKGROUND

Governor Gavin Newsom proposed a $126 billion budget for DHCS programs and services in the fiscal year. The budget for DHCS supports vital services that reinforce the state’s commitment to preserve and improve the overall health and well-being of all Californians. Highlights include the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the infrastructure needed to distribute, vaccinate and register the COVID-19 vaccine.

Within the infrastructure needed to distribute the vaccine, a Doctor Registrar has been developed for physicians that will receive supplies and administer the vaccine where they will register patients they have delivered it to.

IMPACT

When BMi got involved, the Back-End of the platform had been built and planning of the Front-End was being discussed. DHCS defined it would be built on Angular 8 and it had to be deployed by January 1st, 2021. Development was done at a neck breaking speed and the platform was live by the expected date. The platform is currently running on a hybrid cloud application that enabled a fast service to market; DHCS expects to administer between 2 to 4 million vaccines through this platform during 2021.

TeeBox League

A stylized pink golf ball on a tee inside a white square frame.
BACKGROUND

Golf leagues have always been about camaraderie, competition, and a healthy dose of friendly rivalry — but managing them was a nightmare. Organizers were buried in spreadsheets, group chats, and manual scorekeeping, trying to coordinate teams, handicaps, schedules, and standings without a single system built for leagues.

Most golf apps focused on individual play, not league management, leaving a huge gap for organizers who needed automation, flexibility, and a little personality. Running a league shouldn’t feel like a full-time job — it should feel like part of the game.

IMPACT

We built Tee Box League — a platform designed to make managing a golf league as fun as playing in one.

Tee Box League automates scheduling, scoring, standings, and notifications, handling the heavy lifting so organizers can focus on the competition. Players get real-time updates, leaders get clear visibility, and the whole league stays connected all season long.

We even went a step further — introducing sponsor integration that allows leagues to monetize match notifications with rotating logos and ads, creating new opportunities for engagement and growth.

Tee Box League isn’t just an app — it’s the digital clubhouse for competitive golf leagues, built by people who love the game as much as they love great software.

BACKGROUND

When delivery capacity became a constraint during active enterprise implementations, we implemented a scalable delivery model that maintained quality, continuity, and timelines. By integrating experienced engineers under senior leadership, we increased overall capacity by 20% while supporting multiple concurrent projects without disruption.

IMPACT

Salesforce configuration Engineers were scarce; we developed a plan to take full stack Engineers and immersed them in a 3-month long Salesforce training course. By the third week the Engineers started to work on live projects supervised by Senior personnel. After we completed the initial ramp up, we added additional Engineers to this learning path with amazing results and supported the company with 20% of their programming strength. In 2019 with a booming business and 125 total headcount, RelationEdge was acquired by Rackspace for an undisclosed amount. Investors and employees alike reported great satisfaction with the exit.
